This policy will apply unless a different policy is displayed. melo, us and we refers to Mental Load Pty Ltd. We refer to all of our products and services as “Services” in this policy.

We do not collect information about you from public databases or our business or channel partners unless you provide it to us through them.

Third-Party Widgets: Our primary website contains widgets and social media features. These widgets and features collection information about you including your IP, pages your visit and may set a cookie to enable the feature properly. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the company providing it. Our web or mobile applications do not contain any third-party widgets or features.

With your consent: We share information about you with third parties when you give us consent. The most common examples of this is published testimonials or featured stories to promote the Services.

Compliance with Enforcement Requests and Applicable Laws; Enforcement of Our Rights: In some circumstance, where we are compelled to by law, required to do protect rights, to protect the security and integrity of our products, protect Mental Load Pty Ltd from harm or illegal activities or respond to an emergency which we believe in good faith requires us to disclose information to assist in preventing the death or serious bodily injury of any person. How we store and secure information we collect

Information storage and security

We use industry standard measures to secure the information we store. While we implement many safeguards to protect your information, given the nature of the internet it is impossible cannot guarantee that information, in transmission or storage, is absolutely safe from intrusion by others.

As we are required to, you will be notified if any intrusion occurs, what information was affected and any other detail surrounding that intrusion that we are able to include.

How long we keep information

The length of time we keep information depends on the type of information. We regularly delete and anonymise your information. We also isolate information from each other where possible.

Account information: We retain account information for the length of you having an account. Upon account deletion your profile information will be deleted and therefore you will not to re-activate your account. We will also ensure all other links to you become anonymised, so it no longer directly identifies you. This anonymised information may be used in the future to improve our services based on the ways you interacted with our Services.

Marketing information: Upon account deletion we remove you from all marketing activities immediately. In rare cases there could be some prescheduled communication that can’t be stopped. After these are sent you won’t receive anymore. Please contact us if this happens.

Access your information: You have the right to your information in a structured, electronic format. You can object to the use of your information (including for marketing purposes), to restrict the use of your information and to be forgotten. Some of these choices are available by logging into our Services, for all other please contact us. Delete your account and information: If you no longer wish to use our Services you can log into our services and shut down your account. At this point your personal information will be removed (unless we are required to keep it under law) and your other data will be anonymised and no longer linked to you.

Request that we stop using your information: In some cases, you may ask us to stop accessing, storing, using and processing your information where you believe we don’t have the appropriate rights to do so. For example, if an account was created on your behalf. In these cases, contact us and we will investigate. During investigation we will restrict use of your information until the request is honoured or the dispute is resolved.

You can do this through either the communication itself (if it provides it, such as email), through your preferences in our Services or by contacting us. You will continue to receive transactional communication from us if you opt out promotional communication as it can not be opted out of but it will not include promotional content. How we transfer information we collect internationally

International transfers of information we collect

We collect information globally and your information may be transferred, processed or stored outside of your country of residence to where our Services or our third-party providers operate for the purposes of providing you the Services. We only transfer to and from countries which we are able to under governing regulation. Specifically, when we transfer information of customers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we may make use of the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield. We may use the same frameworks if you are a customer in the United States.

Our policy towards children

Our services are often used by children. When we identify a user to under the age of 16. We anonymise their information in our systems and opt them out of any data transfer to third-party providers.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

From time to time we will update this Privacy Policy. We will post the changes on this page and give sufficient notice on our website and our applications. Prior Privacy Policy version will be accessible. If you disagree with our changes, please stop using our service immediately.
